New Mobile App Reaches Farmers on the Move – 95.3 MNC

Indiana farmers are extremely busy this time of year. Long hours in the combine cab monitoring yields, waiting in line at the elevator or ethanol plant, or driving to town again to replace another broken part, can make for long days away from home. Now, a new tool can keep them informed with the information they need no matter what they are doing or where they are. Hoosier Ag Today has launched a mobile app to reach farmers on the go. Available now in iOS and Android formats, these apps put timely, relevant, and credible information in the palm of their hand.

Markets, weather, and ag news are available in written, audio, and video formats. The app was developed in partnership with InterTech Media, is easy to use and navigate, and works well on phones and tablets. The content is produced by Hoosier Ag Today, one of the largest and most experienced farm broadcast organizations in the Midwest.

The information, broadcast daily on over 75 radio stations in Indiana, is now available 24/7 on mobile devices being carried everywhere by farmers. The app also contains a Breaking News feature that will send a text message to app users when bulletins break, the markets make a big move, or the weather forecast changes. A wide variety of ag related podcasts, including the daily Hoosier Ag Today podcast, are also easily available with just a touch.

The app offers advertisers creative and effective ways of displaying their messages to app users. Banner ads, page sponsorships, video pre-roll, and audio commercials are just a few of the options. In addition, geo-targeted messages can be sent to app users in customizable locations. These app features can be combined with current HAT radio, social media, and e-mail products for a truly multimedia marketing approach.

The app can be downloaded free from the Apple Store and Google Play.  Information on sponsorship can be obtained from molly@hoosieragtoday.com.  Hoosier Ag Today is a member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting and represented nationally by J.L. Farmakis.
